Biography
Harriet Robinson is a freelance financial journalist based in Switzerland. She is bilingual in French and English and writes financial articles in both languages. She is a frequent contributor to the french language daily financial and economic newspaper, L'AGEFI, based in Geneva. Harriet has also written financial articles for other publications such as Private Banking, a french-language financial magazine and for Market, an english-language investor magazine.
Her commissioned articles address a wide variety of financial subjects including hedge funds, banking, private equity, fund management, equities, bonds, convertibles and other financial instruments such as ETFs, as well as financial regulation and legislative issues.
Harriet has extensive experience and contacts in the banking industry given her ten year career as a director in equities sales, advising institutional investors, at two investment banks in London prior to becoming a financial journalist in 2008.
She graduated from Cambridge University in 1998 with a BAHons in French, Portuguese and Russian literature and language. Harriet has also worked at the European Parliament in Brussels as a researcher, liaising with international organisations, attending EP committees and contributing to published reports and directives.
